iRacing presents The Clash at the LA Coliseum

As unveiled on NASCAR RaceHub on FS1 Tuesday night, the NASCAR Cup Series will move Clash 2022, the series’ annual preseason showcase, to the Los Angeles Coliseum for the first time. The race will take place on a temporary quarter-mile oval built inside the legendary facility, marking Cup’s return to stadium racing for the first time in decades and the last premier motorsports event in the Coliseum’s history.

Racing, the official simulation partner of NASCAR, worked with NASCAR to prototype and develop this track layout, a version of which was first shown on RaceHub. 2021 playoff driver Tyler Reddick joined RaceHub analysts Jamie McMurray and Clint Bowyer for demonstration laps on the new track as part of the unveiling. The track will be officially unveiled to the public at iRacing closer to next February’s event.

Be there when NASCAR races at the Coliseum, with the sport’s top drivers and other star-studded surprises. This season-opening showcase will take place on February 6, 2022 and will become the first NASCAR event held at the iconic Los Angeles stadium since it opened in 1923. The Clash at the Coliseum will be a signature event as part of the venue’s centennial celebration and will mark the first time NASCAR’s pre-Daytona 500 event will take place at a venue other than Daytona International Speedway.

See you on the track!

  • "The Clash started out as a 20 lap sprint at Daytona, and was the fastest and richest race per mile in the world. No pit stops, and no holding back. Just pure aggression! NASCAR ruined that too.
